"There is nothing sexier than a mind curious about itself" - Liss
Hi! I’m Elissa Rose, but you can call me Liss!

I’m a relational coach, sex educator, and researcher specializing in sex, relationships, and intimacy. With a background in psychology from Penn State and an MS.Ed in School and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania*, I guide individuals and couples on a journey of self-discovery, intimacy, and relational growth. My work integrates relational readiness, sexual identity, and emotional growth to help clients create authentic, meaningful connections across life contexts. I also bring training and experience as a group leader in the Somatica® Method, which emphasizes experiential practices and emotional connection to foster deep, transformative relational growth.

Through my coaching, I help clients explore their core desires, clarify their relationship goals, and develop a deeper connection to themselves. Whether navigating single life, dating, or existing relationships, my approach fosters self-awareness and builds the tools needed for fulfilling, joyful connections.
Through my training in counseling and my deep interest in human sexuality and development, I guide individuals and couples on a journey to reconnect with themselves and explore their desires, boundaries, and intimacy in a way that is empowering and fulfilling throughout life.

I approach my work through my SEXistentialism lens, integrating relational readiness, sexual identity, and emotional growth to help you create authentic, meaningful connections to self and others across life contexts. My work is grounded in practical therapy techniques and personal exploration, focusing on developing your understanding of self in relationships and personal growth.

In our work together, we’ll explore your core desires and build clarity around your relationship goals. Whether you’re dating, navigating solo life, or in an existing relationship, we’ll work on cultivating a deeper connection to yourself and help you step into a life filled with pleasure, joy, and connection to your authentic sexual and emotional self.

Now, for the personal part...

My own journey is one many can relate to. For years, I believed that if I just waited long enough, my perfect partner would magically appear. But after navigating countless unhealthy relationships where I lost touch with my boundaries and my own pleasure, I hit a major wake-up call. At 28, I decided it was time to make a change.

I ended a toxic six-year relationship, left a job that drained me, and gave myself the space to decompress and focus on ME. Through therapy, self-reflection, and sexual self-exploration, I began to discover what truly turned me on—not just physically but emotionally and intellectually. I learned how to understand my values to help me establish and communicate my boundaries, and most importantly, I learned to reclaim my pleasure and my voice.

It wasn’t always easy, but that journey brought me closer to myself than I ever thought possible. I also found solace in listening to podcasts as a way of healing by connecting with and listening to others—especially cis men—who shared their emotional vulnerabilities in relationships. It helped me understand that emotional capacity, vulnerability, and compassion are real and possible in connection with those socialized as men.

This personal evolution is why I’m so passionate about my work. Through these platforms, I aim to create spaces where we can have honest, vulnerable conversations about dating, relationships, and intimacy—spaces where you can learn and grow, just like I did.

I’ve been where you are. If you’ve found yourself stuck in old patterns or feeling lost in relationships and careers, I want you to know you’re not alone. My approach blends my own lived experience with professional counseling tools, offering a safe and supportive space to explore your sexual and relational identity.

I specialize in helping those new to dating, recently single, or those who have "lost" themselves in past relationships. We’ll work on healthy communication, self-awareness, and how to bring your authentic self into the world of relationships—whether that’s through single-person dating, vetting potential partners, or learning how to create deep, meaningful connections.

I’m here to help you navigate your relational journey, empowering you with tools, knowledge, and insights to make your journey more fulfilling, joyful, and fun. Let’s work together to create the relationships you desire, starting with the most important one: the one you have with yourself.

*Disclosure
While I draw on my counseling training, I am not currently practicing as a therapist and do not provide clinical therapy. My coaching focuses on helping individuals build clarity and skills in relationships and personal growth. In Spring 2025, I will complete the requirements to become a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Pennsylvania and begin offering therapy under supervision.
